Boca Raton Police Recover Body in Atlantic Ocean, Seeking Public’s Help to ID

Boca Raton police recovered a body two miles offshore in the Atlantic Ocean Tuesday morning, and are now seeking the public’s help in their investigation.

The body was found about two miles east of the 2500 block of N. Ocean Boulevard – just south of Spanish River Park – floating offshore. According to a statement from police, a boater reported a body in the ocean at that location just after 8 a.m. Boca Raton Police responded to the scene, with the dive team recovering the woman’s body in the water. Boca Raton Fire-Rescue, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) and the U.S. Coast Guard also assisted at the scene.

The woman was described as a white female, estimated to have been approximately 40-50 years old with brown and gray hair, wearing a blue t-shirt.
