Boca Raton Home Built By Former L.A. Dodgers Owner Hits Market for $125 Million

An 18,000 square foot Boca Raton home owned by the former owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers has hit the market for a staggering $125 million asking price – the highest ever for a residential property in the city.

The home is located on NE 5th Avenue on the Intracoastal Waterway and was purchased unfinished by McCourt, who is best known for his stint as owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball team. McCourt and his ex-wife, Jamie, bought the Dodgers for $420 million in 2004, and he owned the team for eight years before the franchise went through bankruptcy and sold in 2012 for about $2 billion to a group led by Guggenheim Partners. The Boca Raton home, bought unfinished in 2024 and completed by McCourt and his current wife in 2025, would break the $75 million residential real estate record in Boca Raton that was set in May of this year if the asking price is attained.

The estate features a private dock with 220 feet of no-wake frontage, according to Realtor.com. It also included multiple electric gates, bamboo gardens and “walls of glass dissolve the boundary with the outdoor living space.” Finishes include Alabastrino travertine, richly grained hardwoods, and “dramatic” marble. The home also offers two kitchens, seven guest suites, dual offices, a glass-enclosed fitness center with adjoining outdoor wellness space, a spa room, a playroom, a custom 10-seat theater, and a commercial elevator can all be found throughout the home. A number of terraces overlook reflecting pools.

“Grand entertaining spaces transition effortlessly into intimate family living, anchored by an impressive family kitchen and a fully appointed professional chef’s kitchen,” the listing states. “Multiple covered lounges and entertaining areas surround the 78-foot Sicis mosaic-tiled pool and oversized spa, complemented by a fully equipped summer kitchen.”

According to Palm Beach County tax records, the home sits on a 2.19-acre lot with a separate guest house and enough space for 25 vehicles. Annual property taxes are $678,031, based on an assessed value of $43,968,757.
