A 24-year-old West Boca man was arrested Oct. 26 on a methamphetamine trafficking charge, the culmination of a months-long, multi-agency narcotics investigation that included undercover purchases, ground surveillance and tracking from the air, according to an arrest report.
Danilo Fekete-Accyoli was taken into custody at 6:30 a.m. at his apartment on Arbor Oaks Court. The Palm Beach County Sheriffโs Office report lists a charge of trafficking in methamphetamine, a first-degree felony.
The investigation began in August, when Boca Raton Police narcotics detectives asked for help from the Palm Beach County Narcotics Task Force, which is part of the Sheriffโs Office, and from the Drug Enforcement Administrationโs West Palm Beach office. The agencies worked the case jointly. Before the request, an undercover Boca Raton officer had allegedly made four controlled purchases from Fekete-Accyoli between June 5 and Aug. 4. The purchases were of MDMA and counterfeit Adderall pills that were allegedly pressed with methamphetamine.
The report said investigators set up a larger buy Aug. 19. Agents from the task force and the DEA held a briefing at an undisclosed location in Palm Beach County and assigned teams to provide security and surveillance before, during and after the transaction. According to the report, the undercover officer texted Fekete-Accyoli that morning to arrange the purchase of 225 pills for $1,000. Fekete-Accyoli allegedly picked a shopping plaza in the 7000 block of West Palmetto Park Road, in unincorporated Boca Raton, as the meeting spot.
The officer was fitted with an audio and video recording device and given $1,000 in DEA funds, the report says. DEA agents watched Fekete-Accyoliโs residence and allegedly saw him leave alone in a white Audi sedan. The report says agents and DEA aviation units kept him under continuous surveillance as he drove directly to the plaza without stopping.
Investigators allege that Fekete-Accyoli got into the undercover officerโs car, took the money and handed over a candy bag holding 225 orange, oval pills. The report says he then returned to the Audi and drove straight home, still under surveillance.
The pills weighed 96.7 grams in all. A sheriffโs office lab later confirmed they were methamphetamine, the report says.
Fekete-Accyoli was being held in lieu of $60,000 bail at the Palm Beach County Jail.
