Palm Beach County will close the East Woolbright Road Bridge over the Intracoastal Waterway in Boynton Beach overnight for routine maintenance on two upcoming Saturdays, May 17 and May 31, 2025, officials announced Wednesday.
The closures will take place from 5 p.m. Saturday to 8 a.m. Sunday, the announcement said. During this time, the bridge will be closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic. Marine traffic will still be accommodated with “slight delays,” according to officials.
Traffic will be detoured via NE 6th Avenue (Federal Highway), George Bush Boulevard, Ocean Avenue, and N. Ocean Boulevard.
“Please use alternate routes via East Ocean Avenue or George Bush Boulevard bridges,” the announcement said.
