A Boca Raton man was killed Tuesday night after the dirt bike he was riding collided with two vehicles, police said.
Tyren White, 23, was traveling westbound on NW 20th Street with two other dirt bikes when the accident occured just after 6 p.m., according to Officer Jessica Desir. The dirt bike did not have its headlights on at the time of the crash, despite it being after dark.
Police said the Suzuki dirt bike on which White was riding struck the front bumper of a 2017 Volvo S60 being driven by Rogero Silveira, 36, of Massachusetts, ejecting the biker from the Suzuki. The dirt bike then redirected and collided with a 2014 Honda Civic being driven by Ralph Giachetti, 57, of Delray Beach, which was stopped for the red light in the southbound lane of NW 5th Avenue.
The riders of the two other dirt bikes left the scene prior to police arrival.
The rider of the Suzuki dirt bike was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, Desir said. The drivers of the Volvo and Honda were not injured.
Anyone with information about this crash is being asked to contact Traffic Homicide Investigator David Williams at 561-982-4052.
