Suspect Arrested Hours After Boynton Beach Slaying

Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred in unincorporated Boynton Beach Monday night.

Emmanuel Athouriste, 38, was taken into custody in Miami after being located by the Aventura Police Department. The arrest stemmed from a call to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office at about 5 p.m. Monday after reports of a shooting in the 5000 block of Arbor Glen Circle. Upon arrival, officers discovered an adult male deceased in a vehicle from an apparent gunshot wound.

Detectives from the Violent Crimes Division said quickly that the incident may have been targeted.

Athouriste is currently being held at the Miami-Dade Corrections Facility on murder charges connected to Palm Beach County. A photo was not available.
