Streets to Close, Jolly Times to Follow at Boca Raton Holiday Tree Lighting Saturday

Boca Raton’s “Jolly Days” celebration will transform Mizner Park into a jolly scene Saturday, with the city’s annual Christmas tree lighting and holiday music performances sure to usher in the spirit of the season (with even the weather “cooperating” by providing a slight chill in the air).

The celebration will run from 6-10 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23 featuring a tree lighting ceremony, live music performances, food vendors, and more, the city said in an announcement.

Plaza Real East and West (the interior roads inside Mizner Park) will be closed to vehicular traffic beginning at 5 p.m.

The schedule of events include:

• 6pm: Holiday Celebration
  The Holiday Tree Lighting celebration begins!
• LIVE Music Performances
• Snow Flurries
• Craft Station
• Selfie Photo Opportunities with Santa
• Costumed Elves, Snowman & Reindeer
• Holiday Market
• Variety of Food & Drinks for purchase 
• 7:15pm
  Ceremonial Tree Lighting
• The highlight of the evening will be the ceremonial lighting of the City’s tree led by Mayor Scott Singer, which will illuminate simultaneously with Mizner Park’s Lighting Display throughout the park.
• 7:30pm | Holiday Music Performances
  Enjoy the music mix of holiday classics, Top 40 hits, and more. Plus, Mizner Park will also transform into a holiday wonderland, with 50,000 LED lights adorning 75 palm trees throughout the park. Festive 2D light displays make great photo opps in the heart of Downtown Boca.

Chairs will be available for rent on site; no outside chairs are allowed. One unopened bottle of water per person is permitted.
