Earlier Tuesday, a Tri-Rail train struck a person near the intersection of Congress Avenue and Lake Ida Road in Delray Beach. In that incident, a person was reportedly walking along the tracks when they were struck, leading the train’s engineer to call in what he suspected was an impact. The body of the deceased person, who has not yet been identified by authorities, was found north of Lake Idea Road.
