A local man has been charged with indecent exposure after an alleged incident at a Boca Raton beach last week.

According to a police report, Joshua Langford, 33, was taken into custody at South Beach Park after police received a call reporting the incident at the beach. The report stated that a woman was walking near the pavilion at the park Feb. 20, 2026 at 5:20 p.m. when she saw a man emerge from the bushes with his private area exposed and engaged in a lewd act. As the man walked toward her, the woman told police she “yelled at the male to go away and fled the area.”

When a Boca Raton police officer arrived, he identified a man who matched the description reported by the caller, however he was clothed at the time. The man, later identified as Langford, allegedly refused to provide his identity, which led to the added charge of resisting an officer without violence.

Langford, who the report stated had no permanent address, remained lodged in the Palm Beach County Jail in lieu of $3,000 bail for the indecent exposure charge and $1,000 for the resisting without violence charge.
