A Boca Raton man died Saturday night following a collision between his motorcycle and a minivan near the entrance to the Walmart shopping center parking lot on Route 441 (SR-7) in unincorporated Boca Raton.
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, Brendan Brito, 26, was driving his 2021 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle northbound at a “high rate of speed” when the vehicle crashed into a 2020 Toyota Sienna minivan being operated by Elizabeth Sena, 57, also of Boca Raton.
The motorcycle struck the minivan’s front passenger fender, causing the bike to rotate counter clockwise to an uncontrolled final rest in the outside northbound lane of the highway.
Brito was ejected off of the motorcycle and landed beneath the minivan, an accident report said. He was pronounced deceased on scene by Palm Beach County Fire Rescue personnel. The minivan’s driver was transported from the scene to Delray Medical Center with minor injuries sustained from this collision.
Neither alcohol nor drugs were considered a factor in the crash. No charges have been filed.
