A motorcyclist was killed Friday afternoon when a car turned into his path at a Boca Raton intersection, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash happened at 2:58 p.m. at the intersection of EF Johns Parkway and State Road 7, deputies said. Investigators reported a 2026 Chevrolet Equinox driven by Alan Stuart Greif, 60, of Boca Raton, was headed west on E.F. Johns Parkway and attempting to turn left when a 2001 Yamaha YZF-R1 improperly crossed U.S. 441 (SR-7), putting the Equinox in the motorcycle’s path.
The motorcycle, traveling north on State Road 7 in the center lane, was unable to avoid the Equinox and struck the left rear door, deputies said. The motorcyclist was ejected and came to rest in the back seat of the Equinox. He was pronounced dead at 3:06 p.m.
The motorcyclist’s identity had not been determined as of the report. He was wearing a helmet, according to the sheriff’s office.
Greif, who was wearing a seatbelt, was not injured. Neither driver showed signs of alcohol or drug impairment, deputies said.
