Investigators are offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information that could identify a man whose remains were found in a West Boca canal more than 25 years ago and help solve the cold case homicide.

The unidentified remains were discovered Nov. 21, 2000, in a canal at the 18000 block of State Road 7, approximately one mile north of Clint Moore Road in unincorporated Boca Raton, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators believe the victim was a Hispanic male between 21 and 35 years old, about 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing roughly 113 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

The man was wearing black “Attrak” jeans, a tan long-sleeve work-style shirt, white tube socks with gray and black stripes at the top, and black-and-white Nike Air shoes.

The Sheriff’s Office Cold Case Unit is asking anyone with information about the case to contact Detective Nancy Milliner at 561-688-4003 or [email protected]. Tips can also be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers of Palm Beach County by calling 1-800-458-8477 or dialing **TIPS. The case number is 00-153571.

The reward is available for information that leads to the identification of the victim or the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible, the Sheriff’s Office said.
