Delray Beach police arrested a 27-year-old man the day before his birthday after a local “predator catcher” group used a decoy to draw him to a fast food restaurant for what was alleged to have been a sexual encounter with a teen.
Emanuel Porras, 27, of Boynton Beach, was arrested at the Steak N Shake restaurant on Linton Boulevard Feb. 27, 2026 after police were notified about the incident by Justin Lampros, who runs a local social media-based group known as “561 Predator Catchers.”
According to a police report, Porras allegedly admitted to arranging a sexual meetup with a person he believed to have been a 15-year-old boy, but in reality was a decoy sent by the group. He also allegedly admitted to sending the boy explicit photos of himself. Police checked the phones of Porras and the decoy at the scene and recovered a number of messages that had been deleted which indicated the decoy’s age, the report stated. After the text and video message exchange, a meetup was arranged at the fast food restaurant, at which point Porras was confronted by Lampros. When police arrived, Porras, Lampros and the decoy were all sitting at a table at the restaurant.
Porras was charged with traveling to meet a minor for a sex act, electronic communications harmful to a minor, and using a two-way communications device to facility a felony. He remained lodged in the Palm Beach County Jail in lieu of a combined $110,000 bail.
