Two people were shot outside a downtown Boca Raton restaurant after midnight, prompting a wide police response.
According to a statement from Officer Jessica Desir, the gunshots were heard just after 12:30 a.m. Sunday outside The
Standard Cuisine & Cocktails restaurant, located at 187 SE Mizner Boulevard, between SE 1st Street and the Royal Palm Place complex. The victims, both adults who have yet to be identified publicly, were taken to a local hospital.
“The suspect fled the scene and Boca Raton Police detectives are working to identify that individual,” Desir said. “The events leading up to the shooting remain under investigation.”
