A man allegedly stole more than $2,500 in merchandise from a CVS store in Boca Raton and returned to the same location the very next day, leading to his arrest, according to police.

Jesstin Dave Corbitt, 28, of Deerfield Beach, was charged with grand theft after authorities say he entered the CVS at 686 W. Glades Road on June 2, 2026, and stole items on multiple occasions, according to a report filed in court this week. The total value of the stolen merchandise was $2,557.48, according to the report.

The following day, June 3, Boca Raton police were called to the same store after employees reported that a suspected shoplifter from the previous day had returned. Officers identified Corbitt as the suspect through witness statements, surveillance video and his Florida driver’s license, an affidavit states. Store employees described the suspect as a black male, approximately 5-feet-9 inches tall with a slim build, black hair, wearing a black shirt and tan shorts. Police said he made several trips into the store, selecting merchandise and leaving without paying.

On June 3, police said, he left his vehicle running in the parking lot while he was in the store, during which time police observed several items which were believed to have been stolen. An employee who wished to remain anonymous also provided police with a partial license plate that matched Corbitt’s vehicle. Grand theft is a felony in Florida when the value of stolen property exceeds $750.

Corbitt was taken into custody on the grand theft charge. He was also arrested on a confirmed Palm Beach County warrant for failure to appear related to a driving while license suspended case, according to the arrest report. He was released from the Palm Beach County Jail after posting $7,000 combined bond for the two charges.
