A Boca Raton woman was arrested early Tuesday after she allegedly swung a freezer door at a police officer’s face during a dispute at an apartment, according to a police report.

Lillian Dembinski, 47, was charged with assault on a law enforcement officer and trespassing after warning, the Boca Raton Police Department said in an arrest affidavit. She was booked into the Palm Beach County jail about 40 minutes after the incident. The report lists her as unarmed.

Officers were called around midnight to an apartment in the 500 block of Northeast 46th Street over a disturbance, the report said. The person who called police told officers Dembinski had been visiting for the weekend but that they wanted her to leave because of her behavior, the report said. The caller said Dembinski had been “screaming and acting aggressively,” which made her fear for her safety.

When officers arrived, they found Dembinski sitting on a couch, according to the report. Officers told her she was being trespassed from the home. The report said Dembinski became belligerent, refused to leave after being told multiple times and repeatedly screamed at officers, “Arrest me.”

Officers gave her time to collect her belongings, the report said. Dembinski allegedly walked to the kitchen to gather food from the refrigerator, screaming and cursing as she approached officers. The report said she then walked to the refrigerator again and deliberately swung open the freezer door toward an officer’s face. The officer ducked to avoid being struck, according to the report, which said the incident was captured on officers’ body-worn cameras.

Dembinski was arrested on the assault charge and also charged with trespassing for allegedly failing to leave the property when instructed. She was later released on $1,000 combined bond on the two charges.
