Woman Found Deceased in Ocean off Boca Raton ID’d; Police Still Searching for Clues

The woman whose body was found floating two miles off Boca Raton’s barrier island has been identified, police said.

Police announced Thursday morning that the body was that of Patricia Brennan, 63, of Fort Lauderdale. According to police, a boater reported a body in the ocean approximate two miles off the 2500 block of N. Ocean Boulevard (A1A), south of Spanish River Park. Boca Raton police responded to the scene, with the dive team recovering the woman’s body in the water. Boca Raton Fire-Rescue, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) officers and the U.S. Coast Guard also assisted at the scene.
