What’s life at the beach without your best, furry friend?
Boca Raton officials have announced that the city’s “Bark Beach” at the oceanfront near Spanish River Boulevard is now open seven days per week. Starting this week, Bark Beach pass holders can bring their pups to play off-leash running, making new friends, chasing frisbees, playing fetch, enjoying a swim in the surf or just chilling on the sand at this beloved spot, city staff said in an announcement. The Bark Beach was previously open only on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Dogs are welcome to Bark Beach during the designated hours of 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. to Sunset (5 p.m. to sunset during daylight saving time) daily. A Bark Beach pass is required on a “per dog” basis, with a three day pass available for $15 and a seasonal pass available for $35. An annual nonresident pass is available for $210.
Bark Beach is located at Spanish River Park Beach, between lifeguard towers 18 and 20, at 3001 N. Ocean Boulevard (A1A), Boca Raton. The city offers more details about “Bark Beach” on its website.
