A Boca Raton woman has been charged with drunk driving and fleeing police after officers noticed her “stumbling” to a vehicle while responding to a disturbance at the Strike 10 bowling alley.

Fernanda Blanco, 35, has been charged with fleeing or attempting to elude police, driving under the influence, providing officers with a false name, and refusing to submit to a breath test following the incident that took place Nov. 17, 2025 at about 1:55 a.m.

According to a police report, Boca Raton police were called to the bowling alley for a disturbance, at which point they saw a woman later identified as Blanco “stumbling toward” a black Volkswagen SUV and eventually hitting a curb before officers could stop her. Police caught up to the vehicle on Federal Highway after the driver made a U-turn during which she crossed over a solid-painted median. At a red light, the officer activated flashing lights and ordered the driver to put the vehicle in park, but she refused and is alleged to have taken off while the officer was attempting to grab the vehicle’s door handle.

The pursuit continued on Federal Highway to Palmetto Park Road, the report stated, where the vehicle stopped again at another red light, but ignored lights and sirens and eventually continued south on the highway. On a third attempt, the report said, the driver once again failed to stop despite the use of an emergency air horn, and eventually pulled into a parking garage. The driver, identified as Blanco, was arrested after she pulled into a parking space on the fifth floor of the garage in what was the fourth traffic stop of the incident.

Blanco allegedly provided police with a false name and date of birth before admitting her identity. During the conversation between Blanco and officers, she was “unaware of where she was,” the report said, along with numerous signs of intoxication. She requested to be taken to a hospital, where she would not consent to a blood draw, police allege.

Blanco was booked at the Palm Beach County Jail and later released after posting $20,000 bond for the three fleeing and eluding charges, $5,000 for the DWI charge, $1,000 for providing a false identification to police, and $250 for failing to submit to an alcohol test.
