A Boca Raton motorist has been accused of violating the state’s so-called “Super Speeder” law by driving at least 94 m.p.h. on Palmetto Park Road, while also being in possession of a fraudulent out-of-state license.
Ibrahim Hamzaoglu, 19, was pulled over by Boca Raton police Nov. 15, 2025 at 11:55 p.m. after an officer saw a Chevrolet Corvette estimated to be traveling at 95 m.p.h. in a 35 m.p.h. zone. The officer then activated a front-facing radar unit and clocked the driver, later identified in a police report as Hamzaoglu, traveling 94 m.p.h. in what had become a 40 m.p.h. zone. The vehicle was pulled over near the intersection with SW 9th Avenue.
Hamzaoglu, a Turkish national, had a valid Florida driver’s license but, according to a police report, was allegedly found to be in possession of two Georgia driver’s licenses in his wallet. The licenses, the report states, included Hamzaoglu’s photo, however the name of the license was listed as a 23-year-old man named “Matt Robinson.” The driver’s license number on the Georgia documents linked back to a 30-year-old man from that state who appeared to be unconnected to the incident.
Hamzaoglu is charged with violating Florida’s “super speeder” law, enacted earlier this year to crack down on dangerous driving. Violating the “super speeder” law, which kicks in when a driver exceeds the speed limit by more than 50 m.p.h., can lead to 30 days in jail and a $500 fine for a first offense, which is considered a criminal traffic offense rather than a civil citation, as in the case of a normal speeding ticket. Stiffer penalties are provided for repeat offenders. He is also charged with two counts of possession of a fictitious driver’s license.
The suspect was released on $6,500 bond – $500 for the alleged speeding offense and $3,000 each for the fictitious driver’s license offenses.
