Police are seeking security cam footage from neighbors after a couple was robbed at gunpoint at their Boca Raton home upon returning home from a casino Friday night.
Just after midnight Saturday, Boca Raton police were called to a report of an armed robbery armed robbery outside of a residence on the 600 block of NE 29th Place. The two victims told investigators that three armed suspects approached them on foot from behind nearby bushes as they were getting out of their car in front of their residence, having just returned from a nearby casino, pointing firearms at them. Two of the suspects then forcibly took nearly $250,000 worth of watches, cash, phones and a purse from the victims.
A pair of the robbers then entered the victims’ vehicle and removed a gun from the center console, after attempting to steal the vehicle. The suspects then fled the scene westbound to an unknown vehicle. Though the victims’ phones have since been recovered, they were heavily damaged, as they were reportedly found in the middle of a roadway.
The suspects are described as black males, approximately in their 20s, last seen wearing dark clothing and masks. Investigators are seeking footage of the incident. Anyone who lives in the area is urged to review footage from their exterior home cameras.
