Two programs aimed at enforcing driver, passenger and pedestrian safety this week produced positive results, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said.
PBSO conducted a speeding and aggressive driving crackdown in school zones on Monday, with deputies issuing six criminal citations, 87 traffic citations and 55 traffic warnings. The department conducted the detail at three schools in Lake Worth Corridor, West Palm Beach and Greenacres.
The sheriff’s office also conducted a seat belt and child seat enforcement program this week – on Tuesday – with deputies having been dispersed countywide to identify drivers violating restraint laws. That program resulted in 12 criminals citations, 167 traffic citations and 88 traffic warnings over the course of five hours.
