A teenage driver who authorities said was responsible for the deaths of six people in a ultra-high-speed crash in Delray Beach has been sentenced to a 12-year prison term, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said Monday.

Noah Galle, now 20, will spend the next 12 years behind bars after pleading guilty to six counts of vehicular homicide stemming from the Jan. 27, 2022 crash on Route 441 (SR-7) in West Delray. Galle, of Wellington, who was 17 at the time, was reportedly driving his 2019 BMW M5 at about 151 m.p.h. when the crash occurred in the inside travel lane at 10:58 p.m.

At a point north of W. Atlantic Avenue, Galle is said to have attempted to overtake a 2018 Nissan Rogue being driven by Mirlaine I. Julceus, 46, of West Palm Beach, when he lost control of the vehicle and struck the Nissan from behind. Immediately after impact, the BMW was redirected to the northeast while rotating clockwise over the outside lane of travel, and onto the eastern shoulder of US 441, where it came to final rest facing east.

The Nissan was redirected to the northwest, also rotating clockwise, off the inside of the roadway and into the center median. The small crossover SUV rolled several times as between the asphalt roadway and the grassy median area.

At the time of the collision, the Nissan had six occupants, five of whom were declared deceased while on scene. A sixth person was declared deceased at Delray Medical Center later. In addition to Julceus, the passengers included Remize Michel, Saint Louis Michel, Marie Michelle Louis, Filaine Dieu, and Vanice Percina.

Authorities suspected Galle was under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time, as noted on an accident report from the sheriff’s office, but he was never formally charged with DUI in the case.

His sentence includes the 12-year prison term followed by seven years of probation, a driver’s license revocation for three years, 800 hours of community service, an order to attend a victim impact panel, and the completion of a 12-hour driving course.
