A Delray Beach man has succumbed to injuries he sustained in a car crash five days earlier in the westernmost portion of Boynton Beach, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Sunday.

Travis Francisco Henry, 29, was driving a 2008 Honda CR-V at the time of the wreck, which occurred Oct. 8 at the intersection of Boynton Beach Boulevard and US 441.

According to an accident report released by PBSO, Solomon Carroll, 18, of Lake Worth, was driving a 2020 Chevrolet 2500 pickup on US 441, approaching the intersection of Boynton Beach Boulevard and occupying the right lane. The light had cycled green for southbound traffic and Henry’s vehicle – the Honda – was traveling northbound on US 441 when he attempted to turn westbound onto Boynton Beach Boulevard.

As Henry’s vehicle attempted to traverse the intersection, his right side was struck by the front of the pickup truck. Both vehicles were redirected southwest onto the shoulder, but as the Honda entered the shoulder, it rolled due to the downward slope off the roadway, coming to rest upon its roof.

Henry succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash Oct. 13.

No charges have been filed in connection with the case, according to a police report. Neither drugs nor alcohol were a factor, the report said.
