Police are probing a carjacking in Boca Raton that occurred in daylight hours Monday.
Police said in a statement that the incident occurred just before 11 a.m. Monday at 59 S. Federal Highway, located south of Palmetto Park Road and north of SE 1st St.
According to Officer Jessica Desir, as the victim gathered her belongings at the front driver’s side door, she was approached by two males, dressed in all black with masks. No further description of the suspects was released.
“She felt a touch on her side and heard one of the males say ‘Give me your keys,” the statement said.
At that time, the victim dropped her keys and ran into a nearby business where police were called. The suspects fled the area in her vehicle, described as a white Rolls-Royce SUV. The victim was not injured.
After the carjacking occurred, the vehicle was seen traveling westbound on Palmetto Park Road. Anyone with information in reference to the case is asked to contact Detective Dale Graham at 561-620-6175.
